the room was good sized, and brand-new, with a lounge area and a balcony. the breakfast was hot exactly as i hoped, with sparkling wine, hot options and also nice homemade juices. the hotel's location was incredible, just off local tourist spots and the slopes of the beautiful helderberg mountains.

Some people working there were very tired.

This place is located in a beautiful area near Stellenpark office park and wineries, with an amazing restaurant for evening dining experiences.

Wonderful location, very friendly and efficient staff, great facilities (pool, restaurants, etc.)

Although our room was a non-smoking room it smelled heavily of stale cigarette smoke. Our room could not be changed (hotel was full) but the management made an excellent effort to remove the odor.

The hotel is well located in a beautiful setting with park like grounds, tennis courts and a beautiful pool. The room was modern, tasteful and comfortable. The staff went out of their way to help us find the venue for a wedding we had to attend, and were delightful. We travel a lot, so have high expectations of a 4 star hotel. The Lord Charles certainly met those expectations.

A small issues - we got back to our room late (around midnight) from attending a wedding, and found that there was no bedding on our bed! The cover had been neatly turned down, but there was just a fitted bottom sheet. We called reception, and a duvet was brought to us within minutes. Just surprising that the housekeeper didnt notice something was wrong when she did the turn-downs.

The staff, managed by Corne' and Lisa, were incredibly helpful and attentive to all our needs. From the warm and friendly welcome to their attention to detail throughout our stay, we felt important and well-taken care of. the room was comfortable, with a fantastically comfortable bed, and the housekeeping and laundry service were perfect. the hotel grounds were well-maintained and provided a beautiful setting. the breakfast spread was truly superb, with a wide variety of options that catered to all tastes. the staff's dedication and the hotel's attention to detail made for a truly memorable experience. Cons: Absolutely nothing 🌟.

the hotel had a stunning location within walking distance of life church. we had a delightful and great-sized room. the breakfast was perfect and plentiful, the check in was easy.

Central location along with hot and delicious breakfasts. Great food in the à la carte restaurant in the vicinity. Well-appointed and newly renovated room, caring staff.

The staff was delightful and the atmosphere was so relaxing that I forgot I was in a hotel.

The robes and towels were practically antiques and the coffee tasted like it was brewed in the 1800s.

The restaurant was good with very helpful staff here, I had excellent dishes. The location of the hotel was fantastic - within easy walking distance of Life. The pool was nice and I had soft drinks in the main bar.

The location here is absolutely gorgeous, within walking distance from nice attractions, and it only took us 23 minutes to drive from the airport to this lovely historic lodging, plus the staff were all incredibly friendly and attentive.

We like the position adjacent to golf courses Cape Town and with lots of space outside. Generally the rooms are good {we transferred to a suite} and service adequate.We have stayed there for several years and have noticed the carpets and decoration are getting a bit tired.

The lack of variation and quality of the daily buffet at dinner. I would like to pay more for a higher standard.

The room had climate control and a terrace, which I really loved. It was great to be able to adjust the temperature and step outside for some fresh air when needed! 🌞
